Jock Johnson are a lively but still laid back acoustic covers band, currently playing throughout Central Scotland . As the band's name suggests, we started out as a 'Jack Johnson tribute acoustic trio' but we found that his tunes were just too laid back. Great for a sunny afternoon in a beer garden but lacking the edge to entertain in pubs and clubs in the evenings.
So we added a great electric guitarist and vocalist in our old friend Ryan. Now that we are up to 4 in the band, our set is made up of a selection of the best current and recent classic covers with the occasional Jack Johnson cover thrown in for posterity's sake.
Please check our current Set where we're sure you'll find plenty of your favourite tunes on offer. We always manage to create a laid-back atmosphere wherever we play and as always our set is balanced to offer a chilled atmosphere initially followed by livelier later sets to keep the dance floor busy.
